Fine art, sculpture & photography in the heart of Kyiv since 1988
Nikita Tsoy (b. 1991) is a Kyiv-based emerging artist whose paintings and digital artworks are imbued with a sense of controlled chaos and unease. His projects have explored such themes as corporeal deformity, sensory deprivation, displacement, and mental illness, drawing on mythological and symbolic themes. Tsoy grew up in an artistic family, frequently exhibiting alongside his father Andrey Tsoy, and is a graduate of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (NAOMA), where he studied monumental painting and temple culture under Prof. M.A. Storozhenko, and a Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. His ‘Headbangers’ series explores the sensory experience of the human body and psyche under the influence of heavy metal music.
